New website from Elastic promotes green growth

Green Tree
The client
Green-tech is the primary "one-stop shop" provider of landscape and forestry supplies in the UK.

Formed in October 1994 by Richard and Rachel Kay, Green-tech now offer a product range of around 1500 lines dedicated to landscapers, contractors, foresters and architects alike.

From fencing and fertiliser to topsoil and tree anchors, Green-tech have built a strong reputation for providing a fast and efficient service at competitive prices.


The brief
Building on the success of their recently launched corporate website, Green-tech wanted to expand their internet presence to promote their award winning green-tree topsoil brand.

The result of a working partnership with Yorkshire Water, the green-tree range of topsoils are manufactured using organic compost, processed green garden matter and overburdened sand from quarries, all products which would otherwise hit landfill.

"With rising concerns about our global environment, we've seen a massive increase in interest in our sustainable gt green-tree range of products" Said Mark Whiting, Sales Director for Green-tech. "gt green-tree is an innovative product, and we needed a website to reflect that, with a fresh visual identity."

The Elastic solution
The key to Elastic's solution came from the visual approach towards Green-tech's product data, as Matt Wildin, Creative Director of Elastic explains:

"The key issue was the promotion of the environmental qualities of gt green-tree topsoil. Green-tech had a great deal of valuable statistical data on their product and we needed to present it in an accessible and engaging way"

"Before we even began on the design, we worked closely with Green-tech to logically map out all the information, and highlight areas of interest. This was a fundamental step to ensure the website's success."

The result
Mr Whiting notes:
